Scotland Saw Solid Growth in 2016
According to Your Move house price index, average house prices in Scotland increased by 0.2% in December 2016. The results have also shown a nine-year peak on house sales in Scotland in the same month.
The average house price in Scotland is now at £172,204, which is an increase of 2.2% compared to the same time 12 months ago.
The biggest house price growth in occurred in the Shetland Islands, at 10.9%. and East Renfrewshire, which finished the year top of the list at 11.5% growth, overtaking Edinburgh. Aberdeen saw a house prices decrease of 4% on the year.
