Edinburgh Property Market Boost
According to the ESPC (Edinburgh Solicitors Property Services) Edinburgh experienced an increase of properties coming onto the market in the last quarter of 2018.
Edinburgh also saw house prices rising faster and higher, compared to other areas of Scotland.
The highest house price increase was seen in the North East Edinburgh, while it was the small 1 bed apartments that sold quickest.
In summary, according to Paul Hilton, ESPC Chief Executive, 2018 was a sellers’ market due to the shortage of housing supply.
The Scottish property market experienced a dip in the second quarter of 2018, but finished strong in October, November and December, an increase of 9.2% compared to the same period in 2017.
